Email writing – How to write an email – To write an email first you have your account on gmail.com, yahoo.com, Rediff.com, etc. If you have an account on Gmail follow the instruction given below.
Steps for Email Writing – how to write an email in Gmail account
- Open your Gmail account first and follow the steps given below-
- Click on compose button
- The following screen will appear –
- Write subject line
In the subject line write the purpose of your email writing or you can also write the main title of the content you going to write in the text area of this email.
- Write text
In this section write detailed content of your email. End this section with the following phrases such as –
Regards, With Best Regards, Yours truly, Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, etc. if you have written the email for your colleague or a senior person, etc. If the person is younger than you such as your student, write phrases like
Good luck, Good day, Good bye, etc. These phrases depends on your relations with the person to whom you are sending the email.
After completing the email you can attach a file also if needed. To attach a file click on the attached symbol present on the tool bar. Browse the file and attach the file.

- If you want to attach any kind of file including text file, images, pdf, etc. click on the attachment button and attach the file.
- Click on the Send Button
Email writing to more than one person
- To write more than people at a time adds their email address one by one at the address section.
- You can send a copy of the same email to many people by adding their email addresses in the cc. section.
- You can also send a blind copy of the same email to one or more people simultaneously.
Subject Section of Email Writing
- In the subject, section mention the subject of your email
- Write the main text of the email. You can add as many lines as you wish here.
- You can also format your text using bold, italics, etc.
- You can also change the colors of the text with the option of colors given in the format bar.
